Ingredients
Method
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is fully browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped pickles if using, until evenly combined.
- Lay out the egg roll wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 2–3 tablespoons of the cheeseburger mixture in the center of each wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve warm with Thousand Island dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.
