Nantucket Holiday Cranberry Pie is a rustic, festive dessert made with fresh cranberries, crunchy nuts, and a simple, buttery cake-like topping. It’s sweet, tart, golden, and perfect for the holidays—served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

- Spread the cranberries evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish. Sprinkle chopped nuts (if using) and ½ cup sugar over the cranberries.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, 1 cup sugar, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, and almond extract. Mix until a smooth batter forms.
- Pour the batter over the cranberry mixture, spreading it to the edges to cover the fruit.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Can be served warm or at room temperature, with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
